Position MissionThe resource will report to the specific After Sales Manager.Responsible for execution of maintenance activities on the whole fleet of systems installed in the Area of reference and to operate computers and hardware of the Measuring Systems installed on board during the railway measurements campaigns.ResponsibilitiesExecution of ordinary and extraordinary maintenance of high‑tech equipment on rail vehicles (coach roof/underframe)Execution of ordinary and extraordinary maintenance of cooling piping, water piping and air pipingPlanning and tracking of periodical maintenance activitiesPlanning and tracking of corrective maintenance activitiesCabling and interconnections between equipment, including power supplyCalibration and tuning of the Monitoring SystemsParticipation in measurement campaigns on customer rail networksOperation of computers and hardware of Monitoring Systems during inspection runsOperation of software measuring systems, management of data storage, configuration of systemsSubmission of on‑board track inspection results and reports to customerBasic troubleshooting of Monitoring SystemsProvide local support for system specialists, on site or remotely from Italian officesManagement of spare parts on customer facilitiesSuggest improvement in product at 360°Management of Customer Referent directly involved and first assistantDiagnosis, investigation and problem solvingElectrical measurementsMechanical measurementsOperating system installation and configurationNetwork configuration and diagnosticSoftware basic installation and configurationTechnical Skills, Qualifications and Professional ExperienceTechnical background in Electronics / Computer Science / Informatics / Mechanical EngineeringAt least 2 years of relevant experience in the electronic, automotive, railway or oil & gas industryFluent written and spoken Spanish and EnglishWindows OS and LAN network installation, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting (preferably)Railway geography, system and track structure knowledge (preferably)Capability to read and understand electrical and mechanical drawingsUse and knowledge of basic tools, basic crimping tools and test equipment such as oscilloscope, signal generatorExpertise in basic electrical activities like cabling, crimping, soldering, networkingKnowledge of conduits/cable paths for data and power transmission between systemsKnowledge of cabling for electrical and special railway components such as connectors and terminations for rail application, military connectors, MT and BT connectors, fiber‑optic termination (preferable)Expertise in basic mechanical activities like drilling, threading, sealing, cutting, paintingKnowledge of cooling piping, water piping and air piping plant installation (preferred)Electrical soldering and connector crimping and solderingAvailable to travel within Spanish territory, including weekends and night shifts, according to customer inspection runsCollective Labour Agreement (CCNL)National agreement for Engineering Companies and Technical Design Offices, 12 monthly paymentsContractFull‑time, permanent contractGross Annual Salary (RAL)Between €30,000 and €35,000, depending on the candidate’s experience and skillsEEO StatementMermec is an equal opportunity employer committed to providing a working environment that embraces and values diversity and inclusion.
