About the Role You’ll build the core of our platform—infra, backend, data pipelines, and the systems that power our AI Operators. You’ll work across AI and engineering to design, scale, and harden a platform capable of running thousands of concurrent agents executing diverse, mission‑critical tasks. As a founding engineer, you’ll own major product decisions, shape the technical direction, and play a central role in Traza’s success. Requirements Technical Experience 5+ years shipping production backend systems, with demonstrated ownership of services handling high‑throughput workloads Deep expertise in Python (async patterns, type hints, Pydantic) and familiarity with systems languages (Go, Rust) Experience with PostgreSQL at scale: query optimization, connection pooling, indexing strategies, and migrations Hands‑on with Redis beyond caching: job queues (ARQ, Celery, or similar), pub/sub, rate limiting Real‑time streaming architectures (SSE, WebSockets) for AI inference Infrastructure & DevOps Production experience with Terraform or equivalent IaC Container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) and PaaS deployments (Railway, Render, Fly.Io) CI/CD pipeline design with progressive rollouts Observability stack: structured logging, distributed tracing, metrics (Langfuse & Datadog experience a plus) Background job architectures: queue depth management, worker scaling, failure handling Multi‑tenant SaaS patterns: data isolation, rate limiting, tenant‑aware routing Database performance tuning for write‑heavy workloads (bulk operations, COPY, batching) Mindset & Culture Extreme ownership: you see problems through from detection to resolution to prevention Startup velocity: comfortable with ambiguity, rapid iteration, and wearing multiple hats Nice to Have AI voice/communications knowledge (Twilio, Retell) Third‑party integrations (OAuth flows, webhooks) What do we Offer Join as the first hire at a high‑ambition startup backed by top‑tier investors from Silicon Valley.
