No Offer Description Research tasks on geomorphological and hydrological processes, including fieldwork, laboratory work and support for management activities within the research project “Terrestrial monitoring and artificial intelligence: indicators and strategies against environmental desertification in Mediterranean environments”. PI: Dr. Julián García ComendadorFunding body: 3449Institution: Universitat de les Illes Balears (UIB) / University of the Balearic Islands (UIB) Degree in Geography, Environmental Sciences or a related field Specific Requirements Basic knowledge of physical geography, hydrology and geomorphological processes is required. Advanced specialisation is not necessary, but the candidate should be able to support fieldwork, environmental sampling and laboratory tasks. In addition, proficiency in office software and administrative management platforms linked to research projects is valued, as well as the ability to interpret and apply basic regulations related to grants and public procurement.Language requeriments Catalan and Spanish Years of Research Experience None Internal Application form(s) needed National Social Security Insurance (Public Health Insurance) Planned end date of the tasks subject to the contract: Saturday, Setember 30, 2028 Eligibility criteria • Curricular merits in the field (max. 40 points). • Qualifications in the specialist area (max. 20 points), other (max. 5 points). • Video curriculum and, if applicable, personal interview (max. 20 points). • Experience in the field (max. 15 points). E.g.: > 3 years (10 points), < 3 years (5 points). • Other merits (max. +5 points). E.g.: recommendation letters. Eligibility threshold: 60 points.Candidates who hold the qualification corresponding to the required category in the job offer with a non-EU degree, if selected, must present a certificate of equivalence of their non-EU qualification to a European qualification, or proof of having applied for this equivalence, in order to proceed with their hiring. The equivalence can be requested from the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities of Spain (see ). Selection process In accordance with article 8 of the REGULATORY AGREEMENT of 15th June 2022 that approves the regulation governing the recruitment of research staff under chapter 6 allocation of the university budget, as well as technical or operational research staff.Selection comitee i. The relevant Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Research (or person s/he delegates), as chair. ii. The management team for the relevant department. iii. The members of the Research Area Assessment Committee (CARAI). iv. Three experts in the field pertaining to recruitment, where appropriate, appointed by the chair of the committee, having heard from the management team of the department. v. The head of the Management Office for the Research Promotion and Human Resources Programme (or person s/he delegates), acting as secretary, who may speak but not vote.
