Conditions Permanent contract Hybrid model: 1 day of remote work per week Working hours: 9:30 am to 6:30 pm (Fridays until 3:00 pm) Availability to travel across Spain Location: Hortaleza, Madrid Role Overview The Connection Permitting Technician will be responsible for leading and coordinating the full permitting process for all required connections in Verdalia’s biomethane projects. This includes gas grid connection, electrical connection, road access, and auxiliary services. The role ensures technical, regulatory, economic, and timeline feasibility until all permits and agreements required to reach Ready-to-Build (RTB) status are secured. Key Responsibilities Gas Grid Connection Conduct preliminary feasibility analysis (capacity, pressure, distance to grid) Liaise with distribution and transmission operators Request and follow up on connection studies Negotiate technical and economic conditions Coordinate basic engineering for the connection point Monitor progress until signing of technical and commercial agreements Electrical Connection Apply for grid connection points (self-consumption or export) Coordinate with electricity distribution companies Track access and connection permits Manage associated financial guarantees Coordinate technically with plant engineering teams Access and Auxiliary Services Process road access permits (regional, national, or municipal roads) Manage permits with municipalities and sectoral authorities Coordinate public domain interferences (water authorities, roads, railways such as ADIF, etc.) Oversee easements and rights of way Internal Coordination Work closely with Engineering and Legal teams Identify critical connection risks at early stages Propose alternative technical solutions when needed Timeline and Risk Management Develop and monitor connection schedules Identify administrative bottlenecks Anticipate technical xcskxlj requirements from utilities Support project prioritization strategy Candidate Profile Education Degree in Engineering (preferably Industrial, Civil, Energy, or similar) Specialization in energy regulation or infrastructure is a plus Professional level of English is a plus Experience 3–6 years of experience in: Gas or electricity connection permitting Energy project development Working with utilities, public administrations, or infrastructure stakeholders Experience in renewable energy or renewable gases is a plus Key Competencies Strong technical communication skills Results- and deadline-oriented mindset Negotiation skills Strategic vision in project development Ability to manage multiple processes in parallel in a structured way
