Head Of Accounting - Southern Europe (M / F / D)EUR 35.000 - 65.000In this role, you will be a key player in managing accounting in our Spanish subsidiary, acting as the interface to our limehome HQ Finance team in Germany. With your expertise in financial reporting and tax matters, you will ensure accurate reconciliations, timely financial reporting, and smooth communication with external stakeholders. You will also oversee monthly and annual closings, contributing to the continuous development of your team of currently two accounting managers.Responsibilities:Manage monthly and yearly closing activities for the Spanish subsidiary, including filing tax declarations in collaboration with our tax advisor and local colleagues.Support and train your accounting team on technical matters, leveraging your expertise in accounting and financial reporting.Serve as the point of contact for external stakeholders such as tax authorities and government agencies.Coordinate with limehome HQ Finance team, tax advisors, and auditors; support special projects like setting up permanent tax establishments, M&A integration, and banking relationships.Provide financial controlling and budgeting support to the Spanish General Manager and manage local cash holdings.Assist in managing accounting activities and setups for smaller subsidiaries of the limehome group, collaborating with local lawyers and tax advisors.Develop efficient processes for the accounting department, acting as the interface between the team and the global accounting lead.Qualifications:Business or accounting & finance-related university degree or similar qualification.Experience with Spanish GAAP and tax legislation, especially VAT; knowledge of Portuguese GAAP and other markets is a plus.Proficient in Spanish and English, both verbally and in writing; Portuguese and other European languages are advantageous.6-10 years of experience in a similar role within a start-up, growth environment, or tax advisory/audit firm.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting systems (e.g., Ubiquo, Sage, or other ERP systems).Benefits:Hybrid office model with flexible work arrangements.Competitive salary suitable for living in Madrid.Opportunities for personal development through feedback and peer reviews.Team spirit with regular lunches and events.Benefits including up to 24 paid vacation days, discounts, mental health support, staycations, and more.Free drinks, snacks, and beverages in the office.Who we are:limehome is a digital hotel concept offering high-quality suites across Europe, revolutionizing travel, living, and working experiences.
