As we continue to scale, we are investing in automation and AI to improve internal processes, increase productivity and deliver an even better experience for our clients and employees.The OpportunityWe are looking for an experienced Head of Automation to build and lead our Automation function from the ground up.This is a unique opportunity for a highly technical professional with a strong software engineering background who is passionate about automation, AI and process optimization. The successful candidate will define the company's automation strategy, identify high-impact opportunities across the business and develop scalable solutions that drive measurable value.This role will initially be an Individual Contributor position. The successful candidate will personally lead the design, development and implementation of automation initiatives while establishing the foundations of the function. As automation capabilities mature and business impact grows, this individual will be responsible for building, hiring and leading a dedicated Automation team.We are looking for someone who enjoys both strategic thinking and hands-on technical execution, and who is excited by the challenge of creating a new capability from scratchKey ResponsibilitiesStrategy & Transformation- Define and execute the company's Automation strategy aligned with business objectives.- Identify opportunities to automate processes across Operations, Finance, Sales, HR and other business functions.- Develop and maintain a prioritized automation roadmap based on business impact and return on investment.- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellenceSolution Design & Delivery- Design, develop and implement scalable automation solutions- Integrate internal and external systems through APIs and modern integration technologies- Build workflows that eliminate repetitive manual tasks and improve operational efficiency- Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, maintainable and aligned with engineering best practices.- Document technical solutions and establish development standardsAI & Intelligent Automation- Evaluate and implement AI-driven automation solutions, including Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs).- Identify opportunities to enhance productivity through AI-powered workflows and intelligent assistants.- Stay informed about emerging technologies and assess their business applicability.Cross-Functional Collaboration- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand operational challenges and translate them into technical solutions- Partner with IT, Engineering and Operations teams to ensure successful implementation and adoption.- Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholdersBuilding the Function- Initially operate as an individual contributor, delivering high-impact automation projects- Define the operating model, governance and best practices for the Automation function- Build the business case for expanding the team based on measurable business outcomes- Recruit, mentor and lead an Automation team as the function growsRequired Qualifications- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or another closely related technical discipline.- 8+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Automation Engineering or related technical roles.- Proven experience designing and delivering automation solutions in complex business environments.- Previous hands-on software development experience is essential.- Experience developing production-grade software and system integrations.- Experience leading technical projects and influencing cross-functional stakeholders. xqysrnh- Previous experience in consulting, professional services or other service-based organizations is highly desirable.
