The Wealth Management & Insurance division covers three businesses in all Santander Group countries: Insurance, Asset Management and Private Banking. We work to provide the best solutions to our clients in these three businesses in the 10 countries where we are present.
The Opportunity
Santander Alternative Investment is looking for an Investment Associate / VP based in Madrid. The candidate will actively participate in SAI’s investment process, which includes primary fund investments, secondary market transactions, and direct co-investments.
We’re shaping the way we work through innovation, cutting-edge technology, collaboration and the freedom to explore new ideas. To succeed in this role, you will be responsible for:
Responsibilities
Evaluating investments and key risk factors
Lead & assist in the discussions with external GPs
Conduct research and analysis on potential investment opportunities
Assist with financial due diligence
Prepare and lead investment committee materials
Track and monitor portfolio investments
Prepare marketing materials and investor reporting

Professional Experience
7-9 years of full-time experience in Fund of Funds, Private Equity, Private Credit, Investment Banking, Transaction Advisory, or a related field (Required)
Education
Degree in finance, business, economics, engineering, or related field from a Tier 1 European university (Required)
Languages
Fluency in Spanish and English (Required)
Hard Skills
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks (Required)
Financial modelling (Required)
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint (Required)
