IT Support Technician – Hotel Locations
Location: Royal Hideaway Santa Catalina, Las Palmas, Spain.
Responsibilities
Provide first‑level technical support to hotel employees, both remotely and on site.
Diagnose and resolve incidents related to hardware, software, printers and mobile devices.
Record, prioritize and track incidents in the ticketing system.
Configure, install and update operating systems, applications and other software.
Maintain personal computers and workstations, ensuring optimal performance.
Monitor and maintain the hotel’s network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls and wireless access points.
Manage the inventory of IT equipment and maintain documentation for networks.
Support the installation and maintenance of local servers, telephone exchanges and other technical equipment.
Implement and maintain security measures, such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, antivirus and anti‑malware solutions.
Conduct periodic security audits to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.
Assist in the backup and disaster recovery planning to ensure business continuity.
Contribute to the detection and response to social engineering attacks (phishing, smishing, vishing, etc.).
Provide training to hotel staff on cybersecurity best practices and the use of technological tools.
Collaborate with external vendors and internal teams to implement advanced security solutions.
Keep up‑to‑date with emerging cybersecurity threats and industry best practices.
Visit hotels periodically to perform maintenance and support tasks.
