Position Overview
Jefe/a de Servicios Técnicos – Hotel Barceló Portinatx is responsible for leading and managing the maintenance team, ensuring the efficient operation and safety of the hotel’s infrastructure and services.
Responsibilities
Direction, control and monitoring of maintenance tasks for facilities and auxiliary services.
Organisation and coordination of the maintenance technical team to ensure effective and profitable contributions.
Proposal of measures to improve performance, maintaining up‑to‑date maintenance programs and ensuring safety and staff development.
Development of preventive and repair maintenance programs, monitoring the proper functioning of machines and installations.
Maintain the maintenance schedule, ensuring compliance with required quality and budgetary parameters.
Forecast spare‑parts and equipment needs, controlling inventory against established maximum and minimum stocks.
Supervise maintenance tasks outsourced to third parties.
Active participation in Occupational Health and Safety plans.
Prepare budgets for installations, machinery, and preventive maintenance.
Create duty rosters, attendance records, leave, and hiring procedures for staff.
What We Are Looking For
Qualifications
Higher Education: Technical maintenance degree (Grado Superior) or degree in Industrial Technical Engineering.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role.
Spanish language proficiency; high English proficiency desirable.
Knowledge of the hospitality sector is a plus.
Strong organisational and planning skills.
