Vacancy: Research Technician (1 position)
Working hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (35 hours in summer). Family‑friendly facilities.
Contract duration: Temporary contract until the end of the GI SMART project — “Geographical Indications’ contribution to smart territorial development and sustainability. Insights for GIs producers, policymakers, consumers and local communities”, funded by Horizon Europe (Ref. 101136364), with the project ending on 31/05/2028.
Gross annual salary: 32.306,80€ with category T2.
Specific functions:
Support the coordination and execution of GI‑SMART project activities.
Prepare and contribute to project deliverables, including reports, presentations and scientific results.
Collaborate in the organization and documentation of project meetings, workshops and events.
Follow up on assigned tasks to ensure compliance within established deadlines.
Contribute to the writing and revision of manuscripts, conference papers and dissemination materials.
Obtain and analyze information, as well as write reports that respond to the objectives set out in the assignments.
Requirements:
University degree (or equivalent) in Agricultural Sciences, Food Science and Technology, Economics, Biology or related field.
Master’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Agronomic Sciences, Social Sciences, Statistics, Mathematics (if other requirements are met, other types of master’s degrees will be considered).
Previous experience in research support, including data collection, fieldwork or project support, will be valued.
Knowledge of Geographical Indications and Designations of Origin will be valued.
Experience in the preparation of scientific publications, preferably in peer‑reviewed or high‑impact journals.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analysis programs (e.g., Excel, SPSS, SmartPLS, R or similar).
Good level of English (oral and written); knowledge of Spanish and/or Catalan will be considered an added value.
Availability to travel within the framework of project activities, if necessary.
Organizational and time management skills.
Attention to detail and precision in handling data and documentation.
Ability to work independently and in a team.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Proactive attitude for problem solving and adaptability to the changing needs of the project.
Commitment to scientific integrity and ethical standards.
