ph3Overview /h3 ul liSupport the Chief Legal Officer in the oversight and coordination of material legal matters across the portfolio. /li liDrive consistent legal risk assessment, escalation and executive-level reporting across the organisation. /li /ul h3Main Accountabilities /h3 ul liIdentify, assess and proactively support managing legal and contractual risks, proposing practical and commercially sound mitigation strategies and escalations where appropriate. /li liSupport in drafting, reviewing and negotiating complex transactional and project documentation; analyse and advise on complex legal issues arising across the business. /li liSupport in managing claims and contentious matters, where relevant, including coordinating dispute strategy with internal stakeholders and external counsel. /li liCoordinate and efficiently manage external counsel, with a strong focus on quality, responsiveness and cost control. /li liMonitor legal and regulatory developments, share knowledge and best practices and contribute to internal training where appropriate. /li liEnsure compliance with Ocean Winds’ internal policies and applicable laws, fostering a strong culture of ethics and compliance in coordination with the OW Compliance team. /li liContribute to continuous improvement of legal processes, operational efficiency and executive decision-making, including clear, structured reporting where needed. /li /ul h3Academic Background /h3 ul liLaw bachelor’s degree; fully qualified lawyer. /li liMaster’s degree or postgraduate qualification is a plus. /li /ul h3Languages /h3 ul liExcellent command of English, both written and spoken. /li liAny further language is a plus. /li /ul h3Professional Experience /h3 ul liMinimum 10 years of post-qualification experience as legal counsel exercise within an international company and/or top‑tier law firm environment. /li liStrong experience advising on renewable energy projects is required; exposure to offshore wind is a plus. /li liExperience drafting and negotiating complex transactional and project documentation; exposure to EPCs, MA, construction litigation, energy management and/or project finance is a plus. /li liComfort working across multiple areas of business law (commercial, construction, MA, corporate governance, contentious matters and/or regulatory topics), beyond a single specialisation. /li /ul h3Skills /h3 ul liStrong drafting, negotiation and analytical skills with a pragmatic, business‑oriented mindset. /li liAbility to identify legal and contractual risks and propose practical mitigation strategies in a fast‑moving environment. /li liProven capability to manage multiple matters and priorities simultaneously, with autonomy, ownership and sound judgment. /li liHigh ethical standards, integrity and discretion, with the ability to handle sensitive matters confidentially. /li liClear and effective written and verbal communication skills; ability to translate complexity into actionable advice and reporting. /li liComfortable working in a dynamic, international and multicultural environment, with strong teamwork and interpersonal skills. /li /ul h3Other Requirements /h3 ul liBased in Madrid (international scope).
