Institution ALBA is the Spanish synchrotron light source, a large research infrastructure operating ten beamlines, complementary facilities, and an Electron Microscopy Center. Located in Cerdanyola del Vallès, Barcelona, it is funded by the Spanish and Catalan governments and serves thousands of researchers across multiple disciplines. Responsibilities Operate instruments to perform magnetic measurements. Maintain and improve the control system of measurement benches. Prepare measurement protocols. Process acquired data and prepare measurement reports. Participate in characterization of magnet prototypes. Perform general laboratory maintenance, including order maintenance, stocks and spare parts management. Support the operation and maintenance of the IDs and Magnets Group. Operate ALBA accelerators, including shifts and on‑call duties, available for 24/7 shifts. Requirements Higher technical education cycle (CFGS) or degree in Physics or Engineering (electronics, telecommunications, mechanics or similar). English language equivalent to B1 level. Availability to travel, including occasional periods away from home. Availability for 24/7 shifts and on‑call duties. Benefits Permanent contract.
