Role Overview Planet is seeking a highly organised and proactive Paralegal to support its global Legal Team. The successful candidate will report to the Deputy General Counsel and work closely with Planet’s Legal Directors across various jurisdictions. This is a hands‑on, fast‑paced role supporting a wide range of commercial, regulatory, corporate and operational matters. The role is ideal for a motivated candidate who enjoys variety, wants exposure to an international business, and seeks to build their career within a high-performingin‑house legal function. What you will do 1. Contract Management & Support Assist with the preparation, review and editing of a broad range of commercial agreements, including: General terms and conditions, NDAs, MSAs/SoWs, supplier agreements, partner/reseller agreements, technology licences, marketing agreements, data processing addenda, etc. Support Legal Directors in drafting routine contract clauses and preparing first drafts using templates. Coordinate internal contract approval workflows and ensure proper execution. Maintain and update the template repository, version control, expiration/renewal tracking and contract metadata. 2. Legal Research & Memoranda Conduct legal research on commercial, corporate, regulatory and compliance topics across relevant jurisdictions. Prepare concise research summaries and internal guidance notes. Monitor new regulatory developments relevant to Planet’s operations (payments, financial services, data protection, commercial law). 3. Litigation & Claims Support Assist in managing disputes, claims and litigation: document collation, escalation with insurers, liaising with external counsel, tracking deadlines and procedural steps. 4. Horizon scanning and regulatory change management Support the implementation of new regulatory requirements, including document updates and coordination with business owners. Assist with data protection tasks (e.g., DPIAs, data subject request workflows, record keeping). 6. Operational & Administrative Support Support the Legal Operations Manager in improving processes, workflows and templates. Assist with departmental reporting (KPIs, dashboards, audit responses). Manage legal inboxes and triage requests to relevant team members. Coordinate meetings, document signatures, and maintain organised digital filing systems. Who you are Essential Bachelor’s degree in Law or Paralegal qualification (or equivalent). 2–4 years’ experience in a law firm or in‑house legal team (multinational experience preferred). Strong drafting, proofreading and document management skills. Excellent organisational ability with strong attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines. High level of professionalism, integrity and discretion. Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross‑functional teams. Preferred Experience in payments, financial services, technology or SaaS industries. Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as PSD2/PSD3, AML, and GDPR. Experience with contract lifecycle management tools or legal tech solutions. Experience supporting stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions.
