ph3Open Position PhD Student Position for the TH BSM Group /h3 pThis PhD research position is offered by the Theoretical Physics Group at IFAE within the Beyond the Standard Model and Astroparticle Physics and Cosmology research areas. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liCarry out independent and collaborative research in topics such as physics beyond the Standard Model, formal aspects of quantum field theories, gravitation, gravitational waves, quantum sensing of fundamental backgrounds, cosmology, and astroparticle physics. /li liProduce scientific results that lead to a PhD degree within four years. /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul liMaster’s degree in Physics or equivalent, and admission to the Physics PhD program at UAB before the start of the grant (expected fall 2026). /li liProficiency in English. /li liPro‑active attitude and good communication skills. /li liEvidence of research potential, demonstrated by CV, publications, or research projects (40% of evaluation). /li liSuitability to the research activities of the group (45% of evaluation). /li liLetters of recommendation (10% of evaluation). /li liInterview (5% of evaluation). /li /ul h3Contract Benefits /h3 ul liFull‑time, 40 hours per week. /li liPredoctoral contract of four years, classified as “Predoctoral Researcher (R1)”. /li liSalary proportional to experience and qualifications within the category range. /li /ul h3Equal Opportunity /h3 pIFAE is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity in the workplace and social integration of people with a disability.
