RESPONSIBILITIES
The Center for Research in Agricultural Genomics (CRAG) is looking for a Postdoc Researcher to be part of the group Epigenetics and Plant Development.
We are looking for a highly talented and creative new team member with a strong interest in epigenetics and plant development. The postdoctoral scientist is expected to conduct innovative research to investigate the epigenome dynamics underlying Arabidopsis thaliana seed germination and early seedling development.
The candidate will be in charge of generation of (1) ChIP‑seq, RNA‑seq and ATAC‑seq data, (2) CRISPR‑edited plants, and (3) integrative data analyses.
The tasks are included within the framework of the project EPIC_SEED “Uncovering the epigenetic mechanisms driving the seed‑to‑seedling transition in plants”.
REQUIREMENTS
PhD in Plant Biology or related field.
A strong background in chromatin biology in plants.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Fluency in spoken and written English.
Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
Demonstrable scientific success in previous roles.
Prior experience in ChIP‑seq and ATAC‑seq – essential.
Handling of Arabidopsis plants – essential.
CRISPR methodology – essential.
Experience in bioinformatics – desirable.

Contract Duration: 1.5 years
Hours/week: 37.5 hours
