About the RoleJoin us as Principal, Valuations at AIA Investment Management.We are seeking a Principal, Valuations to ensure that AIA’s investments are marked at fair values at all times. As the Subject Matter Expert on assets and securities valuation, the position holder has oversight responsibilities over the pricing and valuations matters of the investments held by the AIA fund vehicles (AIA Investment Funds, AIA VCC and future funds platforms), across both public and private assets as well as derivatives. The incumbent also lends expertise on pricing and valuation matters of the investments by the Local Business Units’ General Accounts which are managed by AIA IM.ResponsibilitiesReview and continuously improve the company’s pricing and valuation oversight controls and processes.Review valuation methodologies across all asset classes adopted by third‑party fund administrators for the AIA fund vehicles, oversee the pricing and valuation activities of the service providers and ensure consistent methodologies and pricing vendors/sources are appropriate and relevant, recommending changes as appropriate.Ensure that AIA’s investments are always marked at fair values. In particular, collaborate and coordinate with the Operational Due Diligence (ODD) and Private Assets Investments teams to review and assess the valuation governance framework, policies and procedures of the external General Partners of AIA’s indirect private assets investments, and to review the regular investment reports received from these external fund managers.Assist external valuation agents with the performance of the external valuation processes for direct private assets investments.As the Valuations Subject Matter Expert, resolve valuation exceptions and queries.Review pricing data sources and parameters configured in AIAIM’s internal systems (e.g., Bloomberg, Aladdin) to ensure investment assets are properly valued.Run VAC periodic meetings as per VAC’s Terms of Reference, and assist in preparing materials to be presented to the VAC.Act as single point of contact to address, triage and resolve pricing and valuations exceptions, coordinating fair value determination and approval processes and related documentation.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Accounting, Finance or Financial Engineering. CVA qualifications or an equivalent are an added advantage.At least 8 years of experience in pricing and valuations of public and private assets.Relevant experience in developing and implementing risk monitoring frameworks.Good working knowledge of fund vehicles, particularly Luxembourg SICAVs and Singapore VCC.Product knowledge (Private Assets, Fixed Income, Equity, Mutual Funds, Derivatives). Prior experience preparing and/or auditing security valuations is a plus.Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills.Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.Ability to work independently as well as within a team.Good interpersonal skills; able to work with all levels of staff and management (both internal and external customers).Resilience to work under pressure and ability to track and deliver assignments on schedule.Good organizational and time‑management skills.
