The Business Unit Adsorbents & Additives is seeking a driven and technically credible Product Manager Adsorbents to be based primarily at our site in Tarragona, Spain. In this role, you will take ownership of the specific product portfolio, acting as the key connector between operations, sales, R&D, marketing, and customers to optimize the product lifecycle and maximize business group profitability. This position reports directly to the Product and Business Development Manager.ResponsibilitiesManage the end-to-end product portfolio and lifecycleDefine and maintain pricing guidelines, ensuring compliance across sales channelsApprove formulations, product and raw material specifications, and packaging standardsDrive product lifecycle decisions, including portfolio pruning and cost optimization initiativesEnsure full regulatory compliance, coordinating with corporate and regulatory teams on product documentationLead resolution of customer complaints, balancing customer satisfaction with operational feasibilityInitiate and manage innovation and improvement projects in close collaboration with R&D and technical teamsEvaluate and implement strategies to access new market segments (e.g., Pharmaceutical industry)Partner with Marketing to develop technical content, training materials, and trade show contributionsCollaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Quality Management, and Sales Managers to align on product strategy and executionThe role also involves travel to engage with customers and stakeholders as needed.RequirementsDegree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a closely related fieldMinimum 3 years of professional experience in product management, technical marketing, or a related role in the specialty chemicals industry, experience in sales or positions with exposure with customers is an advantageStrong technical understanding of adsorbents, additives, or related chemical products (preferred)Fluent in English; German language skills are an advantageDemonstrated ability to manage complex, cross-functional stakeholder relationships with confidence and clarityResults-oriented mindset with a structured approach to prioritization and problem-solvingCustomer-centric perspective with a solid understanding of market dynamics and unmet customer needsResilient and adaptable under pressure, with a proactive attitude toward continuous learningCollaborative team player who thrives in a global matrix organizationHigh level of accountability, integrity, and ownership in day-to-day decision-makingOur Offer* Total Target Cash includes base salary and annual bonus; final offer based on skills and experienceA global role with real impact, primarily based at Clariant's manufacturing and innovation site in Tarragona, Spain.This position offers a flexible hybrid working model, combining office and home-office days.A collaborative and innovative culture where cross-functional teamwork and continuous improvement are valuedAccess to professional development opportunities within a diverse, international organizationMeaningful work aligned with Clariant's sustainability ambitions and responsible chemistry principlesA supportive reporting structure with strong exposure to senior business and technical leadershipYour ContactRodrigo WinterstellerTalent Acquisition Partner EMEATel. +49 (0)69/305-80582Clariant is a Swiss-based global specialty chemicals company, which is concentrated and developed in three business units: Care Chemicals, Catalysts and Adsorbents & Additives.
