Offer Description The Cell Behaviour and Tissue Bioengineering Group at the CIPF offers a postdoctoral researcher position to contribute to the Mechano‑Oncology research line. The project aims to decipher the mechanosensitive processes and the mechanical properties of tissues that drive tumor malignancy and anti‑tumoral immune responses. This multidisciplinary project will combine: Biophysical techniques and image analysis pipeline to probe cell and tissue mechanics and cell–cell mechanical interactions. Microfluidic systems for controlled migration assays, immune‑cell trafficking, and spatially resolved tumor–immune crosstalk. Molecular and phenotypic characterization of tumor and immune cells (gene/protein expression, activation markers). Basic requirements of the position: Lead biophysical assays (e.g., traction force microscopy, tunable stiffness substrates, confinement assays) to study how mechanical signals affect tumor progression and immune responses. Use Microfluidic/Microphysiological systems for controlled migration assays, immune‑cell trafficking, and spatially resolved tumor–immune crosstalk. Lead image and data analysis, including programming in Python and experience with ImageJ/Fiji, to process microscopy data and perform quantitative image analysis. Perform molecular and cellular assays (flow cytometry, immunofluorescence, qPCR, etc.) to characterize immune and tumor phenotypes. Collaborate with biophysicists, cell biologists, and clinicians within a multidisciplinary team. Contribute to project reporting, manuscript writing, and dissemination of results. Experience required: The candidate must have a PhD's degree in Biophysics, Bioengineering, Cell Biology or equivalent. Expertise in image/data analysis and coding using Python and ImageJ is required. Experience in cell culture and basic molecular biology techniques is required. Expertise in Microphysiological Systems use/design will be highly valued. Experience in Biophysics or Mechanobiology is highly valued. Experience in microscopy imaging is highly valued. High level of spoken and written in English. #J-18808-Ljbffr
