Overview
As an SAP Basis Expert, you will oversee the administration, maintenance, and optimization of SAP landscapes across development, QA, and production. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure stability, performance, and scalability while guiding upgrades, patching, and backups in on-premises and cloud-hosted environments. You will shape system architecture, security, and disaster recovery strategies, enabling reliable integrations with non-SAP systems. This role offers impact through sustaining high-availability SAP operations and driving cost-efficient performance improvements.
ResponsabilidadesAdminister SAP systems (ECC, S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, Solution Manager, PI/PO) across multiple landscapesInstall, upgrade, migrate, and apply patches to SAP systemsTune performance and troubleshoot runtime issuesManage SAP databases (HANA, Oracle, SQL Server, DB2) including backup/recoveryImplement and operate SAP Transport Management System (TMS)Ensure security and compliance via roles, authorizations, and SSL certificatesCoordinate with cloud/infrastructure teams for Azure, AWS, GCP hostingSupport SAP-to-non-SAP integrationsPlan and execute system refreshes, client copies, and DR exercisesProvide go-live, performance testing, and maintenance supportMonitor and optimize SAP landscape for cost, performance, and scalabilityMaintain detailed system documentation and runbooks
Requisitos principalesBachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field7+ years of hands-on SAP Basis administrationProven experience with SAP NetWeaver, S/4HANA, and SAP HANA DatabaseStrong knowledge of SAP landscape design, sizing, and capacity planningExperience with SAP upgrades, kernel patches, and support packsGood understanding of SAP Security, Transport Management, and Change Control processesExperience with OS and DB-level administration (Linux/Unix, Windows, HANA/Oracle)Familiarity with SAP Solution Manager (SolMan) and SAP EarlyWatchExposure to SAP Cloud Platform (SCP/BTP) and hybrid environmentsUnderstanding of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) setupsExcellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skillsproblem-solvinganalytical thinkingcommunication skillsSAP NetWeaverS/4HANASAP HANA Database
