As we expand across the EU, we're looking for a Seafood Trade Specialist to anchor our commercial presence in Spain, one of Europe's key seafood import hubs. Role:Seafood Trade Specialist – Europe (Contract) Location:Remote Responsibilities Build and manage strong commercial relationships with seafood buyers across the EU, with a primary focus on the Spanish market. Lead end-to-end buyer engagement, including onboarding, pricing negotiations, contract finalization, and post-sale coordination. Own the full sales cycle: from lead qualification and closure to delivery tracking and issue resolution. Collaborate closely with Aquaconnect's India-based sourcing team to align with buyer specifications. Monitor European seafood demand patterns, price movements, and competitive dynamics. Channel real-time buyer insights and market feedback into Aquaconnect's sourcing, pricing, and product teams. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience in seafood trade, with strong exposure to the Spanish import/export ecosystem. Proven success working with processors, distributors, or trading companies in Spain; experience across otherEU markets is a plus. Deep understanding of buyer expectations, pricing benchmarks, regulatory frameworks, and sourcing models. Well-established network of seafood buyers in Spain and preferably other EU nations. Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills; ability to manage long-term relationships and close high-value deals. Fluent in English and Spanish (written and spoken); additional EU languagesare an advantage.
