Together, we can shape the future.We are looking for a **Senior Accountant** to join our Accounting team within **Business Services – Country Servicing**, with responsibility for ensuring full balance sheet accuracy, statutory compliance, and high-quality financial reporting for French legal entities. This is a senior, hands-on accounting role with broad exposure across general ledger, reporting, audit, and tax processes.Reporting to the **Head of Accounting**, the role acts as a key contributor within the team, ensuring robust internal controls, timely closings, and compliance with both Group and local requirements.**In the role, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:*** Ensuring accurate and compliant accounting records in line with IFRS and French GAAP, including balance sheet ownership and reconciliations.* Preparing and reviewing accounting entries related to assets, liabilities, provisions, inventories, revenues, and expenses.* Managing month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring timely issue resolution and proper supporting documentation.* Coordinating financial reporting under Group standards and local statutory requirements, including audit support.* Preparing VAT and tax reporting and liaising with external providers, auditors, and authorities.**To be successful in this role, you have:*** A Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance, with a recognized professional qualification (CPA, CIMA, DESCF or equivalent).* At least 8 years of experience in financial accounting or audit, with strong exposure to full balance sheet responsibilities.* Solid knowledge of IFRS and French GAAP, ideally gained in manufacturing or complex international environments.* Strong systems proficiency, including SAP, reporting tools (Tagetik, OneStream or Hyperion), and advanced Excel skills.* Fluency in French and English; Spanish notions are important due to the office location.**Join Sibelco and contribute to a high-performing finance function where integrity, ownership, respect, excellence and teamwork are the guiding values.
