Service Operations Manager

Your Role And Responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the execution of medium-size projects. Each day, you will ensure that all related activities are executed in accordance with procedures, regulations, standards, specifications and targets. You will also showcase your expertise by leading the project team members to achieve project requirements, deliver contracted deliverables, and meet the committed project result. Each day, you will plan and execute work on a first-time right approach with customers. You will also showcase your expertise by displaying a clear understanding of sense of urgency and care in your own area of responsibility.
In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world, by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact. You’ll be contributing to the Motion Service division in Spain. Main stakeholders are Oil and Gas customers, chemical industry, metal industry, water sector or power generation.
Work model: The primary location is Madrid, although Barcelona is also considered a viable option.
You Will Be Mainly Accountable For
Working with the customer (on-site) to identify opportunities to improve their operations and eliminate pain points.
Lead the project team, by establishing the project execution approach, overseeing project hand-over, execution planning, and monitoring and controlling activities for internal and external resources to accomplish all project goals. Monitoring and controlling project financials, like overseeing project invoicing status, costs, expenses and cash flow. Driving the formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out and acknowledgement by the customer.
Performing field service tasks, identifying technical issues, and performing analysis through remote or on-site activity in service categories and products.
Ensure that the project follows execution best practices established by the organization and ABB policies.
Preparing material lists needed for service activity and ensuring that all materials, parts, and equipment are available and of appropriate quality for service activities.

Qualifications For The Role
You enjoy working with drives, motors and generators and have an overview of power generation, oil and gas, chemical industry, metal industry or water sector.
You have 2 or more years of experience working with drives and/or motors and generators service.
Highly adept in Office, PowerApps (PowerBI, Power Automate, Planner), SAP and electrical testing equipment.
You are innovative about collaborating with sales and support departments, and taking care of customer needs in frontline, with the curiosity required to find new ways of improving.
Degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or equivalent (FP or vocational training also considered).
You are at ease communicating in English (B2).
You hold Spanish VISA/work permit.
