POSITION OBJECTIVEThe Site Manager is responsible for overseeing, coordinating, and managing the construction of a floating photovoltaic (FPV) power plant. This role ensures compliance with established schedules, quality and safety standards, as well as all legal and environmental requirements. KEY RESPONSIBILITIESConstruction ManagementSupervise and coordinate daily on-site construction activities, ensuring the project progresses according to the master schedule.Coordinate the work of contractors, subcontractors, and material suppliers, ensuring all resources are available as scheduled.Monitor the quality of the installation and construction of the photovoltaic systems, ensuring all components are installed in accordance with project specifications.Compliance with RegulationsEnsure all site activities comply with local construction, safety, and environmental regulations.Manage building permits and all necessary regulatory paperwork required for project execution.Enforce safety practices on site, promoting a culture of safety among all personnel and preventing accidents or environmental damage.Budget and Schedule ControlMonitor construction-related costs, ensuring the project remains within the approved budget.Conduct continuous tracking of project milestones, implementing corrective actions as needed to prevent delays.Personnel ManagementLead and coordinate on-site work teams, ensuring efficient task execution.Supervise the performance of construction crews and suppliers, motivating them to meet quality objectives and deadlines.Manage the hiring of temporary personnel or subcontractors as required.Communications and ReportingMaintain constant communication with project stakeholders (clients, project leaders, senior management, etc.).Prepare and deliver periodic reports on project progress, including identified issues and proposed solutions.Manage progress review meetings with key stakeholders.Risk Management and Problem-SolvingIdentify potential on-site risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.Resolve operational and logistical problems that may arise during project execution, minimizing their impact on timelines and costs.Quality Management and TestingSupervise the installation of solar panels, inverters, floating structures, and other photovoltaic system components, ensuring required quality standards are met.Coordinate functionality and performance tests for all systems upon installation.4. REQUIREMENTSAcademic BackgroundDegree in Civil Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or a related field, with proven experience in construction and renewable energy project management.ExperienceMinimum 5 years of experience in the construction of photovoltaic power plants or renewable energy projects.Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and supervising large-scale construction sites.Technical KnowledgeIn-depth knowledge of substation (an asset), photovoltaic and battery (an asset) systems and their components (solar panels, inverters, monitoring systems, etc.).Familiarity with local and international regulations regarding construction, environment, and safety for renewable energy projects.Knowledge of project management principles, including scheduling and cost control.SkillsLeadership and team management skills.Ability to make quick and effective decisions when faced with unforeseen problems.Strong communication and negotiation skills.Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project). xcskxlj LanguagesSpanish – Native.English – Minimum B2 lev el.
