This is an exciting opportunity to work on innovative, large-scale distributed systems while contributing to the design, development, and delivery of high-quality software solutions.You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and enhance products that support our global business, while continuously improving performance, reliability, scalability, and security across our platforms.What You'll Be DoingAs a Software Developer, you will be involved throughout the software development lifecycle, including:Refining user stories and defining clear acceptance criteria.Designing, developing, testing, and delivering features aligned with business requirements.Contributing to the continuous improvement of code quality, development standards, and engineering practices.Identifying opportunities to automate processes and improve operational efficiency.Supporting and enhancing production systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.Collaborating with Product Owners, Architects, and fellow engineers to deliver innovative solutions.Contributing to system performance, resilience, scalability, and security initiatives.What We're Looking ForEssential Experience & SkillsMinimum 5 years of commercial software development experience, ideally within an e-commerce or high-transaction environment.Strong proficiency in .NET (Core) and C#.Professional knowledge on NodeJS and AngularExperience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases, such as SQL Server and modern NoSQL solutions.Solid understanding of software engineering best practices, design patterns, and principles for building scalable and maintainable distributed systems.Experience developing and consuming APIs (REST and/or SOAP) using formats such as JSON and XML.Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and/or Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD) using frameworks such as xUnit or NUnit.Familiarity with Continuous Integration tools such as TeamCity, Jenkins, GoCD, or similar platforms.Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle from requirements through to production support.Desirable ExperienceExperience working within Agile development environments.Experience collaborating with distributed or geographically dispersed teams.Understanding of low-latency, high-concurrency, distributed systems and the challenges associated with building them.Experience developing cloud-native applications.Hands-on knowledge of a major cloud platform such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).Personal AttributesWe're looking for someone who:Is passionate about technology and software craftsmanship.Takes ownership and is committed to delivering high-quality solutions.Demonstrates creativity and innovation when solving complex technical challenges.Thrives in a collaborative team environment while remaining self-motivated and accountable.Has a continuous improvement mindset and actively seeks opportunities to enhance systems, processes, and ways of working.Maintains a strong focus on performance, reliability, scalability, and security.Nice to HaveExperience within the car hire, travel, or mobility sectors would be advantageous, although not essential.Why Join HBX Group?Work with modern technologies at global scale.Collaborate with talented international teams.Contribute to products that power the travel industry worldwide.Be part of an engineering culture that values innovation, quality, and continuous learning.Enjoy opportunities for professional growth and career development.You will have the opportunity to work for a company that is going through significant change in becoming the world ́s leading travel services provider.
