Mission To uphold full compliance with Philippine tax laws through the delivery of accurate, timely, and efficient tax reporting and advisory support, while reinforcing internal tax controls and supporting strategic business decisions with expert tax guidance. Job Description Atlas Copco Philippines Inc. is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Tax Team Leader to ensure the Finance function’s full compliance with all local tax and regulatory requirements. The role oversees daily tax compliance activities, manages VAT claims and tax audits in coordination with external consultants, and supports statutory and regulatory reporting obligations. The Tax Team Leader serves as a key liaison for tax matters, collaborates closely with internal stakeholders, and provides functional direction to the Treasury Officer to ensure consistent, compliant, and well‑aligned financial practices. Key Responsibilities Tax Compliance & Reporting Coordinate with external tax consultants on the preparation, review, and timely filing of all tax returns (income tax, VAT, withholding taxes, and other statutory filings). Maintain, reconcile, and review tax‑related accounts, schedules, and supporting documents to ensure accuracy and audit readiness. Manage local tax obligations, including municipal taxes and head office and branch requirements. Support regulatory filings such as SEC Audited Financial Statements (AFS), General Information Sheet (GIS), and other statutory submissions. VAT, Audits & Regulatory Matters Oversee VAT claims and refund applications, ensuring completeness of documentation and compliance with BIR requirements. Coordinate tax audits, BIR assessments, and examinations, including documentation preparation and responses with external advisors. Support tax initiatives such as e‑invoicing, transfer pricing documentation, and tax health‑check projects. Advisory, Controls & Collaboration Provide guidance on tax implications of routine business transactions, contracts, and operational activities. Monitor changes in tax laws and BIR issuances, assess impact, and communicate updates to the Finance team. Collaborate with Finance, Credit & Collection, Operations, and Shared Services to ensure consistent tax compliance. Promote internal awareness and knowledge sharing on tax processes, controls, and regulatory updates. Leadership & Support Provide functional guidance to the Treasury Officer, ensuring proper cash handling, bank reconciliations, and adherence to treasury and internal control policies. Support the implementation of tax strategies aligned with business operations and local regulations. Qualifications & Experience Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is an advantage. 3–5 years of relevant experience in tax compliance, accounting, or finance, preferably in a corporate or multinational setting. Strong knowledge of Philippine tax laws, including VAT, withholding taxes, and corporate income tax. Experience coordinating tax audits and working with tax authorities and external consultants. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Skills Familiarity with tax compliance and reporting processes. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office. Exposure to ERP systems (e.g., SAP). Experience leading or providing guidance on tax‑related activities within a finance team.
