ppWe are looking for a Team Leader Accountant to join our Finance department reporting to the Accountant Manager, you will be a part of KLG’s Barcelona-based accounting team, providing accounting support to different countries. /p h3Job Description /h3 pYour duties will include but not be limited to: /p ul liLiaising with the business to ensure completeness in the purchase ledger /li liProvide support for forecasting, variance analysis and budgeting /li liProviding ad-hoc support when required by senior members of the team /li liResponsibility of Month End Closure for your entities including AR reconciliation and Deferred Revenue /li liPL analysis – OPEX, Services, Residences and Homestay /li liMonthly reporting /li liPreparing and posting Prepayments journals /li liMaintaining Fixed Asset register and posting depreciation journals /li liManagement of utility contracts including posting accruals and reviewing invoices /li liManagement of residence costs including reviewing invoices and posting accruals /li liCoding and posting credit card accruals /li liBalance sheet reconciliations /li liProvide support during annual internal and external audits /li liProvide support to the fiduciaries/external accounting departments. /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 pbQualifications and experience /b /p ul liMinimum of a Bachelor’s degree, preferably inclusive of accounting modules /li liMinimum 5 years previous experience in Accounts Payable/Accounting and PL analysis. /li liPrevious experience working for large corporation in accounting position /li liPrevious ownership or involvement in month-end processes /li /ul pbSkills and competencies /b /p ul liIntermediate Excel knowledge (V Lookups, pivot tables, formatting of data…) /li liStrong technical accounting skills /li liStrong customer service ethos and high attention to detail /li liSystematic and organised approach /li liStrong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) /li liAbility to process high volumes of work, to deadlines with minimal supervision /li liQuick to pick up and apply knowledge /liliHigh level of initiative, self-motivation and drive /li liReliable with a flexible attitude /li /ul h3Additional Information /h3 pAt Kaplan International, we are committed to working in a diverse organisation and strive to provide equality of opportunity for all.
