VMware Cloud Foundation Engineer – Senior Consultant (m/f/d)
Location: Madrid (Remote) – Full Time
Responsibilities
Gather and analyse customer requirements in the VCF / SDDC environment.
Create and coordinate concepts and implementation roadmaps based on strategic decisions.
Conduct strategy workshops and consult on architecture and design.
Implement the designed VMware Cloud Infrastructure solutions (vSphere, vSAN, NSX, VCF, HCX, Operations, Automation, etc.).
Lead the implementation of scalable, resilient, and secure cloud infrastructures.
Provide technical expertise as a reference for enterprise clients, supporting architectural decisions, evaluations, and migrations.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on complex hybrid cloud and IT modernization initiatives.
Contribute to the development of the VMware practice in Spain, including mentorship and pre‑sales support.
Handle high‑end troubleshooting and support for VMware solutions.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Software Defined Data Centres.
Expertise in VMware solutions: vSphere, vSAN, NSX, VCF, and related stack.
Experience designing virtualization and/or cloud infrastructure environments.
Strong analytical, conceptual, and customer‑orientation skills; ability to work in a team.
Confident handling of Linux and Windows systems.
Experience dealing with IP networks.
Fluent in Spanish and very good in English.
Hands‑on experience with HCI solutions such as VMware VCF.
Experience with backup, disaster‑recovery solutions (e.g., Site Recovery Manager).
Experience with VMware network solutions such as NSX.
Experience with migration projects using HCX.
VMware certifications (VCP, VCAP). Valued: VCDX and knowledge of at least one public cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Experience in data‑centre automation (Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell).
Ability to work according to ITIL and Agile Methodologies.
