We are looking for a strategic and hands-on VP of Finance to join our fast-growing startup. The ideal candidate will have strong experience leading financial activities in high-growth environments, direct involvement in Series A and Series B fundraising rounds, and a solid background in U.S. & Spanish finance and tax matters. Experience in the healthtech or healthcare sector is highly preferred as it will help navigate industry-specific requirements, pricing models, and compliance considerations.This role will play a key part in shaping our financial strategy, supporting our fundraising efforts, and building scalable financial operations as the company enters its next phase of growth.Key Responsibilities
Strategic Finance & FundraisingLead financial strategy for our current and upcoming investment rounds (Series A and B) and future capital events.Build and own investor-ready financial models and long-term projections to support investor discussions and strategic decision-making.Prepare financial materials, data rooms, and updates for investors.Foster strong relationships with investors, banks, and financial institutions.Financial Management, Business Performance and ReportingOversee accounting, FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, audits, and monthly / quarterly financial reporting and optimize key business KPIs and metrics : CAC, gross margin, payback periods.Implement dashboards and systems that provide insights into unit economics and revenue performance.Ensure accuracy of internal controls and compliance with the financial and regulatory requirements.Operational ExcellenceSupport pricing strategy, monetization models, and market expansion.Partner with cross-functional teams to guide resource allocation and operational decisions.Improve financial efficiency through process optimization and cost-management initiatives.LeadershipBuild and lead a high-performing finance team as the company grows.Act as a strategic partner to the CEO and executive team.Contribute to company-wide planning and goal-setting.Healthcare Industry Expertise (Preferred)Understand financial dynamics specific to healthtech or healthcare environments.Support compliance and financial implications related to healthcare regulations (HIPAA, data security, reimbursement models, or clinical operations depending on your context).Guide pricing partnerships and go-to-market strategies influenced by healthcare stakeholders.Qualifications812 years of finance experience ideally within SaaS or subscription-based businesses.Proven experience leading fundraising efforts in startups or high-growth companies.Proven experience leading Series A and Series B fundraising processes.Strong experience in U.S. and Spanish corporate finance and tax matters (mandatory).Experience in the healthtech / healthcare sector is strongly preferred but not mandatory.Successful track record building financial processes and teams in scaling environments.Excellent strategic-thinking, analytical, and communication skills.CPA, CFA or MBA is a plus.What we offerCompetitive financial package with equity.You’ll have access to top‑notch Private Health Insurance.23 working days of holidays per year plus the local public holidays.Tax relief / Retribución Flexible will also be available for you (restaurant ticket and health insurance).We have a hybrid model with a flexible start time.Office located in Barcelona with great public transport connections.Required Experience
