Join our Rolling Stock department in Madrid as a TCMS Engineer - Central vehicle control. You will play a crucial role in developing software for train control systems, ensuring our locomotives are ready for the future.Challenges that awaitDevelop software for train control in the locomotives' environment.Enhance locomotive control functions, such as multiple traction or auxiliary operation control, collaborating with technical experts.Define hardware‑software interfaces and coordinate with internal specialists across engineering departments and suppliers.Specify functional requirements and translate them into code for the vehicle control unit (PLC).Test functional behavior on test benches and directly on locomotives.Trace and document all software changes meticulously.What will make your application stand outA technical bachelor's degree in fields like electrical engineering, computer science, or mechatronics.At least 3 years of experience in vehicle software development, ideally within the railway sector.Proficiency in programming PLC controls and a passion for solving complex problems.Familiarity with tools such as Redmine, Doors, and SVN.Fluency in English (C1 level or equivalent).A collaborative spirit, enjoying work with diverse teams across different departments and locations.Willingness to travel as needed.Even if you don't meet every single requirement, we encourage you to apply!
